Glow From Within — Brightening by Calming, Not by Fragmenting
The R2 Glow Laser is a non-ablative protocol whose target is inflammation, not pigment. It runs on a long-pulsed dual-wavelength platform — 755 nm alexandrite and 1064 nm Nd:YAG — the same system used for laser hair removal, at entirely different parameters. That distinction matters, because the two produce brightness by entirely different routes.
As a laser treatment for face and skin quality, it starts from an observation: low-grade inflammation does two things to how skin looks. It stimulates melanocytes, which is why inflamed skin tends to darken and why post-inflammatory change persists long after the original insult has settled. And it produces a background of erythema that reads to the eye as dullness. Calm that activity and both contributors ease — the stimulus to produce pigment reduces, and the underlying redness settles.
This is why R2 Glow is a slow protocol rather than a dramatic one. It works upstream, on the driver, rather than downstream on pigment that has already been deposited. For that, a different instrument is required.
